Dudley Sixth learners rank in the top 1% of performers, achieving the Certificate in Financial Studies (CeFS) from The London Institute of Banking & Finance
Congratulations are in order for three exceptional Dudley Sixth students—Imogen Hale-Fellows, Tia Jackson, and Shirina Patel—who have achieved remarkable success in their studies for the London Institute of Banking & Finance (LIBF) Certificate in Financial Studies (CeFS). Each of these students received an A grade, placing them in the top 1% of candidates. Their dedication and hard work were rewarded with not only academic distinction but also a prestigious £500 scholarship toward one of LIBF’s online degree programmes.
The CeFs course encourages students to become responsible borrowers and sensible savers, and to appreciate the need for financial planning throughout their life. It prepares them for further study by developing the core skills of critical analysis and evaluation, verbal communication (through classroom discussion) and written communication.
This greater understanding of financial planning can support entry to university on finance and banking courses and a wide range of other disciplines. It also supports progress to a wide range of entry level occupations within finance, ensuring that learners understand the sector and have a range of transferrable skills and knowledge.
The students were deeply honoured and proud to receive the scholarship, as they had never expected to perform at such an elite level. Imogen, Tia, and Shirina all expressed their surprise and delight at being recognised among the top 1% of performers. They also extended heartfelt thanks to their teacher, Jaki Llewellyn, who provided invaluable guidance and support throughout their studies.
Each of these talented individuals has ambitious plans for the future:
– Imogen is eager to pursue a career in finance or accounting, intending to further her studies at university after finishing her A levels.
– Shirina also plans for a future in finance or accounting, inspired by her teacher Jaki and her success in the CeFS.
– Whilst Tia has set her sights on a career in law and is excited and motivated to continue her studies in this field.
The LIBF institution is in the top 4% for graduate outcomes, with 90% of their alumni securing employment or pursuing further study after graduation. Their graduates have gone on to build careers at esteemed organisations such as Barclays, HSBC, Deloitte, Thomas Reuters, and Goldman Sachs. Imogen, Tia, and Shirina are well on their way to joining the ranks of these successful professionals. Their achievements, along with the support they’ve received from Dudley Sixth, are a testament to the power of determination, academic excellence, and guidance. We look forward to seeing their future successes in the world of finance, accounting, and law. Congratulations once again!
