Students at Dudley Sixth, the specialist A Level centre at Dudley College of Technology, are celebrating another year of impressive A Level results, reflecting both their hard work and the outstanding support provided by staff.
This year’s results demonstrate continued academic excellence, with high grades A*-B maintained and showing a slight improvement on the previous year.
The college has also continued to narrow the gap in top-end attainment, with the proportion of learners achieving the highest A*/A grades showing a further increase, underlining Dudley Sixth’s commitment to helping students achieve their full academic potential.
Across the curriculum, students and staff have much to celebrate, with 26 out of 31 subjects achieving 100% achievement rates. Creative subjects produced particularly exceptional outcomes, with Photography, Graphics and Textiles all achieving 100% A-C grades*. In addition, nine courses recorded improvements in the percentage of students achieving high grades, highlighting the strength and breadth of provision across the college. Law, Accounting and Sociology did particularly well with the numbers of students achieving high grades being 22%, 31% and 16% above the national rate.

Outstanding students included Dawood Ali Khan (aged 17) who achieved A* grades in Biology, Chemistry and Maths, who is now moving to study at the University of Birmingham with a career goal of becoming a Chemical Engineer. Commenting on his time at Dudley Sixth he said:
“It was a nice learning environment, and I enjoyed all two years of my studies, but I’d advise all new students to start revising early, as taking A level exams is definitely a pressurised experience!”
Alexia Paul (aged18) has chosen to pursue her career goal through a degree apprenticeship programme with Deloitte after achieving Accounting A, Maths B and Economics B at A ‘level. Whilst fellow student Isobel Priest (aged18) has secured a job in Management Information Systems, after obtaining A* Criminology, A Business, and B in History. Reflecting on their time at college, both of them agreed that their teachers were critical to their success with Alexia saying her best memory from her studies was celebrating her Economics’ teacher’s birthday as part of their lesson.
Using his A ‘levels to go further afield Abdul Momin Zulquadar (aged 20) has chosen to pursue his studies at Bocconi University in Milan Italy, a world leading institution for Computer Science. His A* in Biology, A* in Chemistry and B in Physics A ‘level securing him a place at the prestigious institution to study Computing and AI.
The results reinforce Dudley Sixth’s reputation as the Black Country’s specialist A Level centre, providing ambitious young people with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to progress to highly competitive destinations.
As students prepare to move on to university study, higher apprenticeships and professional career pathways, the college congratulates the Class of 2026 and wishes them every success in the future.
