For the third year in a row Dudley Sixth’s A level students are celebrating an exceptional set of results having achieved a 98.3% pass rate, an increase on last year’s results, and 0.2% above this year’s national rate. The sixth form centre has also seen a significant rise in the number of students achieving A* and A –C grades.

Remarkably, A level students studying at Dudley Sixth have also achieved 100% pass rate in 27 of the 35 subjects taught there.

This year’s fantastic results have seen a rise in the number of students securing high grades in the STEM subjects (science and maths). With 100% pass rate in maths and a number of high grades in the sciences, the rise in popularity of these subjects will help our students secure top jobs and supports the national drive to increase skill levels in these essential disciplines.

Dudley Sixth, which is part of the Dudley Learning Quarter, houses a range of specialist facilities which can be accessed by the 500+ A level students.

Across all campuses within the Learning Quarter there has been an effort to increase the level of maths and English skills and this is borne out by the 100% pass rates achieved in A level English Language, English Literature and Maths.

Whilst those A level students planning to enter the world of commerce have secured successful pass rates in economics, business, computing and accounting.

Students studying the arts have also flourished by securing 100% pass rates in art and design, drama and dance.

The majority of our successful students plan to progress onto university and have accepted places at a range of Russell Group universities, including King’s College London, Manchester and Birmingham, as well as other local prestigious universities which include Aston and Keele.

Amongst the Dudley Sixth cohort are a number of successful students who have attained high grades in several subjects. Katie Guest from Oldbury who has two A*s in Sociology and History and an A in Psychology has secured a place at King’s College, London to study Global Health & Science Medicine.
